AzTU organized an event dedicated to World Civil Defense Day under the theme "Civil Defense: A Guarantee of Population Safety." Speaking at the event, Vice-Rector for Finance and Economic Affairs Rashad Aliyev emphasized that the purpose of this day is to raise awareness of population protection and safety and recognize the efforts and dedication of civil defense workers.

Following this, Vidadi Mustafayev, Head of the Department of Labor Protection and Technical Safety, provided detailed insights into the history of World Civil Defense Day and the measures implemented in Azerbaijan in civil defense.

It should be noted that this day, established by the International Civil Defense Organization, is celebrated annually as a major humanitarian event. Azerbaijan became a member of this influential international organization in 1993.
