Subhan Namazov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), and Bakhtiyar Badalov, Director of the Research and Development Department, paid a working visit to the University of Lahore, University of Engineering and Technology, University of Management and Technology, and Central Punjab University in Lahore, Pakistan.
Within the framework of the visit, prospective opportunities and directions of cooperation with the world-leading universities of the brotherly Republic of Pakistan were widely discussed. During the meeting with Professor Shahid Munir, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology, one of the largest engineering universities in Pakistan, and the university delegation, it was stated that cooperation with AzTU is a priority for the university. It was noted that they are interested in expanding cooperation with AzTU by signing a memorandum of understanding. During the meeting with Professor Muhammad Ashraf, Rector of the University of Lahore, it was emphasized that they are ready to cooperate with AzTU in the field of research, joint projects, and joint publication of scientific articles.
During the visit to the University of Management and Technology, during the meeting between Vice-Rector Subhan Namazov and Vice-Rector of the University of Management and Technology Asgar Zaidi, it was stated that AzTU students are interested in participating in scholarship programs, organizing joint scientific conferences indexed in international scientific databases, mutual exchange of researchers, and mutual support in international ratings.
During the visit to the Central Punjab University, Vice-Rector Hammed Naved and the delegation highly appreciated the university's cooperation opportunities in the field of Engineering and expressed their readiness for cooperation in all directions.
During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with the existing material and technical, laboratory bases of the universities in different fields and discussed the possibilities of mutual cooperation. After the discussions, it was agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding with the universities and wide cooperation.
