Within the framework of the “Energy Efficiency and Climate” project implemented by the World Bank through the “Accelerated Technical Assistance Facility for Azerbaijan” (AZTAF), an educational training on increasing energy efficiency in buildings was held in Shamakhi city, organized by the Ministry of Energy. The goal is to implement energy efficiency measures in buildings, as well as to increase knowledge and skills for the effective management of “Energy Efficiency Fund” projects.
The training was attended by Asif Sadigov, senior lecturer of the Department of Energy Efficiency and Green Energy Technologies of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), and Murad Rzayev, assistant of the department.
During the two-day training, the participants were presented with topics on energy audit, modernization and improvement mechanisms for energy efficiency of buildings, project management, monitoring and evaluation. At the same time, detailed information was provided about the country's energy efficiency policy. In order to ensure that trainings for a wider audience will be conducted by local specialists in the future, training was held for local auditors. In addition, as a practical part of the training, an energy audit was conducted in one of the public buildings located in Shamakhi district.
