Times Higher Education (THE) has published the subject ranking for 2026. Within this ranking, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has been represented for the first time, placing in the 1251+ range.

Azerbaijan Technical University was evaluated in the subject areas of Engineering and Physical Sciences. This result reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen teaching quality, research activity, and international academic engagement in the relevant disciplines.

It should be noted that the THE subject ranking methodology is based on 18 performance indicators grouped into five main areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook. This framework enables a comprehensive assessment of universities’ academic, research, and institutional performance.

AzTU’s inclusion in the THE subject ranking is considered an important outcome of its institutional development strategy, enhanced research capacity, and expanding international collaboration, contributing to the university’s visibility within the global higher education sphere.
