Khayala Hajiyeva, the Director of the Library and Information Center (KIM) at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), has been appointed as the editor for Azerbaijan of the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), a renowned global database for academic open-access journals. DOAJ is a major international platform that indexes all open-access journals worldwide, with a requirement that the journals listed must meet international publication standards.

As part of the editorial activities of the AzTU employee, it is planned to organize training sessions and webinars for editors to evaluate journals from Azerbaijan and align them with international standards. The goal is to advance the development of academic journals in Azerbaijan and enhance the culture of academic writing to a higher level.
