A seminar dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the outstanding scientist and public figure academician Yusif Mammadaliyev was held at AzTU, jointly organized by the Student Scientific Societies (SSCs) of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU), Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University (AzMIU), Baku Engineering University (BMU) and Sumgayit State University (SSU).

Welcoming the participants of the event, AzTU TEC Chairwoman Sharafkhanim Aliyeva noted that academician Yusif Mammadaliyev contributed to the development of chemical science in Azerbaijan, as well as the formation of student associations. Sharafkhanim Aliyeva also noted the special role of the outstanding scientist in the application of innovations achieved in science in industry.

The documentary film "The Peak of Time", which tells about the life and activities of academician Yusif Mammadaliyev, was shown at the seminar.

Later, the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy, Malik Garayev, stated that academician Yusif Mammadaliyev played an unparalleled role in the development of chemical science not only in Azerbaijan, but also in the world.

At the seminar, Gunay Heydarli, a senior researcher at the Yusif Mammadaliyev Institute of Petrochemical Processes, and employees of the Department of Chemical Technology, Recycling and Ecology of AzTU - Najiba Shirinova and Gumru Zaidova, made a comprehensive presentation on the life and work of Yusif Mammadaliyev, as well as his achievements.

AzTU students Roza Almadetli and Aisha Mammadova, who spoke at the event, spoke on the role of Yusif Mammadaliyev's legacy in the education of students and its impact on scientific research activities.

Finally, the participants of the event got acquainted with the scientific research laboratories and the Library Information Center of AzTU.
