A meeting was held with the 1st year students of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).
The Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics, Allahverdi Sharifov, congratulated the students on their admission to AzTU and wished them success in their studies. The Dean informed the 1st year students about the history of the university, the faculty and the educational directions.
Then, Razim Bayramov, Head of the Department of Transport Logistics and Traffic Safety operating under the faculty, and Heybatulla Ahmadov, Consulting Professor of the Department of Transport Engineering and Management Technologies, provided detailed information about the main priority directions of the departments in personnel training, the importance of university-industry cooperation, and modern requirements for the labor market in the field of transport and logistics.
AzTU graduates working in high positions in various state and private enterprises spoke at the meeting. It was noted that graduates of the Faculty of Transport and Logistics are in demand in all local and foreign enterprises. Deep mastery of the specialty, practical skills strengthened in the industry, knowledge of several foreign languages and computers, self-presentation, communication and behavioral skills will open up wide job opportunities for AzTU graduates.
Sahib Asgarov, an employee of the Technology Transfer Center of AzTU, made a detailed presentation about the opportunities created by the center for students.
Deputy Deans of the Faculty Gazanfar Akhundov and Mahir Mustafayev provided the students with necessary information about the educational process and the communication process at the faculty.
Speaking on behalf of the students, Rashvin Shirelizade, currently studying in the 4th year, spoke about the values that the faculty has contributed to his education and personal development.
