The Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Vilayat Valiyev, met with Aykhan Allahverdiyev, a graduate of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Science, participant in the Patriotic War, and recipient of the Presidential Award for Youth.  During the meeting, discussions focused on the youth policies implemented in the country, particularly the attention and support provided by President Ilham Aliyev to young people. The Rector emphasized that, like AzTU students, graduates also hold a special place for the university. He noted that the achievements of alumni serve as both an example and a source of motivation and self-confidence for current students.  Rector Vilayat Valiyev expressed pride in seeing Aykhan Allahverdiyev’s name among the recipients of the Presidential Award for Youth, congratulating him on this significant accomplishment and wishing him success in his future endeavors.  It should be noted that, by decrees issued by President Ilham Aliyev, Aykhan Allahverdiyev was awarded the medals “For the Liberation of Fuzuli,” “For the Liberation of Jabrayil,” “For the Liberation of Khojavend,” and “Participant of the Patriotic War” for his bravery and heroism during the Patriotic War.  Currently, Aykhan Allahverdiyev serves as the Chairman of the “Young Volunteers Public Union”.

On February 2, a special event dedicated to Azerbaijan Youth Day was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), organized by the University’s Trade Union Committee (TUC) and the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC).  The event began with a moment of silence in honor of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of Azerbaijan was then played.  Chairman of the AzTU TUC, Elvin Bakhtiyarli, extended his congratulations on the occasion of Youth Day. He highlighted the youth policies implemented in Azerbaijan and the attention and support given to young people. Bakhtiyarli emphasized that various events and interactive competitions are held throughout the year at AzTU to enhance the knowledge, skills, and innovative ideas of students and young faculty members.  AzTU Vice-Rector Rashad Aliyev and Advisor to the Rector on Strategic Issues, Shabnam Mammadova, also delivered congratulatory speeches, wishing the youth success in their endeavors and encouraging them to continuously work on self-development.  During the event, Elvin Bakhtiyarli announced the results of the "AzTU Youth-2" competition, organized by the TUC in honor of Youth Day. The competition recognized young staff members who defended their dissertations, published scientific articles, demonstrated social activity, maintained discipline, and contributed to the university's activities throughout the year.  Based on the results of the competition:  Shabnam Hatamova was awarded 3rd place in the “Promising Young Talent of the Year” category, Gunel Mammadli secured 2nd place in the “Professional Young Talent of the Year” category, Nuran Suleymanova won 1st place and was named “Young Teacher of the Year” at AzTU.   Following the speeches, the winners of the competition, as well as other young employees who distinguished themselves through discipline and contributions to the university, were presented with certificates of honor and gifts.  In addition, students who played an active role in the social and public life of the university were also awarded honorary certificates by the AzTU STUC.

An online meeting was held with the participation of Professor Vilayet Valiyev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), and Professor Ersan Aslan, Rector of Kırıkkale University in Turkey. Representatives from both universities also attended the meeting.  During the meeting, both rectors provided detailed information about the universities they lead. The potential areas of cooperation between the two universities were discussed, including joint research opportunities in various industrial sectors, collaborative publication of academic articles, exploring suitable fields for starting a dual degree program, facilitating faculty and student exchanges, and other related matters.  Following the discussions, an agreement was reached to sign a cooperation contract between the two universities in the near future.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) və AzTU-da yerləşən “Bilişim Vadisi Bakı”nın dəstəyi ilə “Intech Academy”nin təşkil etdiyi "İNNOVATİV HƏLLƏR" hakatonunun qaliblərinin mükafatlandırılma mərasimi keçirilib. Mükafatlandırılma mərasimində çıxış edən AzTU-nun maliyyə və təsərrüfat işləri üzrə prorektoru Rəşad Əliyev hakatonla bağlı məlumat verib. Bildirib ki, AzTU-da ilk dəfə keçirilən “İNNOVATİV HƏLLƏR” hakatonunda tələbələr 3 kateqoriya (təhsil, yaşıl texnologiyalar və mobillik) üzrə həllər hazırlayıb və ümumilikdə 8 komanda olaraq təqdimat ediblər.  Təkliflər innovativlik, tətbiq edilmə, faydalılıq, dayanıqlılıq, təqdimat bacarığı üzrə geniş çeşidli meyarlara görə peşəkar münsiflər heyəti tərəfindən qiymətləndirilib. Münsiflər heyətində AzTU-nun maliyyə-təsərrüfat işləri üzrə prorektoru, Logistika və Nəqliyyat İnstitutunun direktoru, "INNOLAND" İnkubasiya və Akselerasiya Mərkəzinin rəhbəri və KOBİA-nın şöbə müdiri, AzTU-da yerləşən “Bilişim Vadisi Bakı”nın rəhbəri, SmartTech İnnovatorlar Mərkəzinin direktoru ilə yanaşı Strateji inkişaf şöbəsinin əməkdaşı da iştirak edib. Onlar təklifləri və çıxışları geniş meyarlar üzrə qiymətləndiriblər.  Qeyd edək ki, hakatonun nəticələrinə əsasən, “EcoTech” komandası I, “VWind” komandası II, “Sıfırİki” komandası isə III yerə layiq görülüb. “Ən parlaq fikir” nominasiyasının qalibi isə “FeldTech” komandası olub.  İlk 3 yerə layiq görülən komandalar müvafiq olaraq 400, 250 və 200, “Ən parlaq fikir” nominasiyasının qalibi isə 150 manat məbləğində pul mükafatı ilə mükafatlandırılıb. Hakatonun bütün iştirakçılarına iştirakçı sertifikatı təqdim olunub.   2 gün davam edən hakatonda AzTU THİK təşkilati dəstək göstərib. Qeyd edək ki, qalib komandaların ideyalarını startapa çevirə bilməsi üçün Bilişim Vadisi tərəfindən mentorluq dəstəyi veriləcək.

The Student Youth Organizations Forum was held by the Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations Union (ATGTI) on the occasion of February 2 – Azerbaijan Youth Day. During the forum, Ruslan Ganbarov, Chairman of the Student Youth Organization (TGO) of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), was awarded the title of "Student Youth Organization Chairman of the Year" for his active participation in organizing and carrying out socially significant volunteer activities in the country as part of the 2023 "Heydar Aliyev Year."  In addition, the AzTU TGO's AzTUMUN club was recognized as the "Student Club of the Year," and Nigar Aliyeva, the Secretary-General of AzTU TGO, was awarded the title of "Student Youth Organization Representative of the Year."

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) məzunu, Vətən müharibəsi iştirakçısı, "Gənc Könüllülər" İctimai Birliyinin sədri Ayxan Allahverdiyev Prezident İlham Əliyevin Sərəncamına əsasən, Gənclər üçün Prezident mükafatına layiq görülüb. Ayxan Allahverdiyev 2020-ci ildə AzTU-nun Metallurgiya və materialşünaslıq fakültəsini bitirib. Prezident İlham Əliyevin sərəncamlarına əsasən, Ayxan Allahverdiyev Vətən müharibəsində göstərdiyi igidlik və qəhrəmanlıqlara görə “Füzulinin azad olunmasına görə”, “Cəbrayılın azad olunmasına görə”, “Xocavəndin azad olunmasına görə” və “Vətən müharibəsi iştirakçısı” medalları ilə təltif olunub.

Six students from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) will study abroad during the spring semester of the 2023/2024 academic year as part of the "Erasmus+ KA171" exchange program.  The students include Nuhin Khalilov, a second-year student from the Faculty of Information and Telecommunications Technologies, who will study at Ankara University; Nurtakin Guliyeva and Leyla Shafiyeva, third-year students from the Faculty of Information and Telecommunications Technologies and SABAH groups, who will study at Cluj-Napoca Technical University in Romania; Nurlan Narimanov and Nabat Yusifli, third-year students from the Faculty of Economics and Management, who will study at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in Romania; and Mirali Alili, a second-year student from the same faculty, who will study at Powislanski University in Poland.  AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev met with the students, wishing them success in their studies and future endeavors.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) dəstəyi və “Yola Davam: Birlik Platforması”nın təşkilatçılığı ilə “Müasir idarəetmə və yeni meyllər” mövzusunda interakiv müzakirə keçirilib.  AzTU-da keçirilən interaktiv müzakirə Milli Məclisin deputatı Bəhruz Məhərrəmov, innovasiyalar üzrə mütəxəssis Şəbnəm Məmmədova və universitet tələbələrinin iştirakı ilə təşkil olunub. Görüşdə Prezident İlham Əliyevin ölkəyə rəhbərlik etdiyi 20 il ərzində idarəetmə sahəsində həyata keçirdiyi islahatlar, gənclər siyasəti, ölkəmizin gələcək inkişaf konsepsiyası üzrə atılacaq addımlar və gənclərin bu prosesdə iştirakından söhbət açılıb.   Spikerlər eyni zamanda təcrübələrinə əsaslanan müasir idarəetmə metodlarından və bu istiqamətdə yeni yanaşmalardan da danışıblar. Məlumat üçün bildirək ki, “Yola Davam: Birlik Platforması” Azərbaycanda son 20 ili əhatə edən dövrdə həyata keçirilən islahatlar, ölkənin inkişaf transformasiyası və "Yola Davam" şüarı əsasında gələcəyə baxışı əks etdirən interaktiv müzakirələrin həyata keçiriləcəyi platformadır.

A session regarding "TEKNOFEST-2024" was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).  During the session, AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev discussed the significance of the TEKNOFEST - Aerospace and Technology Festival, which has been held annually since 2018. He emphasized that the festival is an important platform for young researchers and students to showcase their skills. The festival, organized by the "Turkey Technology Team" – T3 Foundation, led by Selcuk Bayraktar, the technological leader of "Baykar" and Turkey’s Ministry of Industry and Technology, was hosted by Azerbaijan in 2022. Rector Valiyev stated that this not only demonstrated the strong brotherhood and friendship between Azerbaijan and Turkey but also showed the expanding scope of TEKNOFEST. He also noted that AzTU students participate in the festival each year, gaining valuable experience.  Then, TEKNOFEST Secretary General Muhammet Saymaz delivered an extensive presentation about the festival. He announced that "TEKNOFEST 2024" will take place in Adana, Turkey, under the slogan "The Future is You." The registration for the festival will continue until February 20. He provided essential information on how students can register for the competition. The session concluded with answering students’ questions.

The first progress conference of the "Strengthening the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Azerbaijani Higher Education Institutions" (ENGAGE) project, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner, was held. The conference brought together representatives from partner universities in Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Estonia, Poland, and over 20 Azerbaijani higher education institutions.  AzTU was represented at the conference by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Nurali Yusifbeyli, Head of the International Relations Department Orkhan Vatankhah, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Fargana Musayeva, and Director of the University-Industry Collaboration and Lifelong Learning Center Aynura Ismayilova.  The event, titled "Report Conference on Research Conducted on the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Azerbaijani Higher Education Institutions," included an overview of the ENGAGE project, its action plan, research goals and methodology. Additionally, the outcomes of various visits conducted by partner universities as part of the project were shared, including the comparative analysis of the entrepreneurship ecosystem, results from the survey on "Entrepreneurship Needs in Azerbaijani Higher Education," and more.  The second day of the conference featured presentations by European partner universities on topics such as "Integration of Entrepreneurship into Higher Education Strategy," "Entrepreneurship in Post-Soviet Poland and Estonia," "Development of Entrepreneurship Curricula: Best Practices from Europe," and "Commercialization of Innovations: The Third Mission of Universities in Entrepreneurial Activities." These discussions were followed by panel discussions where experts shared their insights and experiences.
