The State Service for Special Communications and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SCSIS) organized another competition in the field of cybersecurity for the spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year to assess the knowledge of undergraduate and graduate students studying at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) in the field of cybersecurity.

According to the results of the competition, Tural Salimov and Orkhan Eminbeyli, 3rd-year undergraduate students of the Information Security specialty of the Faculty of Information and Telecommunications Technologies of the University, as well as Rena Sadiqova and Aytaj Agayeva, 2nd-year master's students of the State Information Systems Security specialization of the Higher Education Institute under the University, were declared winners with special distinction.

The award ceremony was attended by Major General Allahveran Ismayilov, Deputy Head of the SCSIS, AzTU Rector Professor Vilayat Valiyev, and other representatives. During the event, the importance of cooperation between state bodies and educational institutions was emphasized in the speeches, and it was stated that training young specialists in the field of cybersecurity is one of the strategic priorities.

It was noted that the measures implemented within the framework of the Memorandum signed between the State Institute of Information Security and AzTU are of great importance in transforming students' theoretical knowledge into practical skills and strengthening the human resources potential of the cybersecurity field in the country. Within the framework of the Memorandum, the State Institute of Information Security created conditions for students studying at the bachelor's level of AzTU in information security to participate in events within the framework of the practical training program.

Then, the representatives of the State Institute of Information Security got acquainted with the laboratories supported by the Service in conjunction with the University in order to strengthen its modern educational infrastructure, material and technical base, as well as the existing modern classrooms for communications and telecommunications, advanced technologies applied in innovative training methods, and experience gained in the field.
