Organized by the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), the senior software engineer of Databricks, one of the world's largest companies in Big Data, Mahammad Valiyev, held a seminar on the "Apache Spark" software for AzTU students.

The seminar, attended by students (bachelor, master, doctoral students) studying computer science, computer engineering, and information security, provided detailed information on the technology of operation of the internal components of the "Apache Spark" program (Execution model, stages, tasks), as well as methods of using them in solving various problems (analysis of audio, video files). In addition, storing large amounts of data in cloud technology (cloud storage, for example, Amazon S3) in the "Delta Lake" format, the principle of operation of the internal file format of "Delta Lake" and its comparison with other formats (Apache Iceberg) were explained.
