Associate Professor Gültekin Coşkun, the head of Turkiye’s UZGE – National Ground Safety Institute, operating at the Technopark of Sivas Cumhuriyet University, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).

As part of the visit, he met with AzTU’s rector, Vilayat Valiyev. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Turkiye-Azerbaijan University (TAU) and AzTU.

During the meeting, Gültekin Coşkun provided information about the institute’s activities, stating that UZGE offers high-quality testing and certification services in the fields of metrology and flooring safety. In addition, the institute conducts research on the friction coefficients of various flooring materials and the safety of helicopter landing surfaces. He emphasized that collaboration with AzTU and TAU in these areas is a priority for the institute.

Rector Vilayat Valiyev emphasized the importance of cooperation between AzTU, TAU, and the institute, stating that it would be appropriate to implement a pilot project in the initial phase.
