A delegation led by Vilayat Valiyev, the Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), participated in the "Higher Education Pre-Summit: Asia Region 2024," held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the international ranking agency, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), and brought together leading universities from Europe and Asia. The AzTU delegation included Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Subhan Namazov; Vice-Rector for International Relations, Fariz Mammadov; and the Head of the Research and Development Department, Bakhtiyar Badalov.

Rector Vilayat Valiyev participated as a speaker in the panel titled "Integrating International Goals into Education," delivering a presentation on "Designing Engineering Education to Meet Global Challenges."

He shared insights on initiatives implemented at AzTU and discussed perspectives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Within the summit framework, meetings and discussions were held with participant universities to establish bilateral collaborations aimed at enhancing AzTU’s international ranking in the fields of science, education, and research.
