A delegation led by the rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev met with the Deputy Minister of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan Hidayat Azimov.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Defense Industry Hidayat Azimov provided detailed information on the directions of action for the development of human capital determined by the ministry for 2025-2030, and also discussed new projects planned for implementation in 2026 on the basis of university-industry-state cooperation in order to form a strong defense industry ecosystem. In addition, the results of the “DefAge Bootcamp” project successfully implemented in 2025 were presented.

AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev made a comprehensive presentation on the activities of the higher education institution he leads, its teaching and research capabilities, and the work they can carry out in the defense industry direction.

During the discussions, the importance of forming a research and development-based, science-intensive ecosystem in order to ensure the long-term and sustainable development of the defense industry in our country was particularly noted.

During the meetings, held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, views were exchanged on strengthening joint activities in the mentioned areas and ensuring the continuity of the process, and an agreement was reached to hold such meetings regularly.
