A meeting of students and staff with Vafa Musayeva, an Azerbaijani female mountaineer and instructor-pedagogue who conquered Mount Everest, was organized at Azerbaijan Technical University (AZTU).
Advisor to the Rector of AzTU Sevil Imanova said that the meeting with Vafa Musayeva is an introduction to the results of female determination and professional experience. She noted that in addition to Mount Everest, Vafa Musayeva has climbed the famous Lhotse, Yurhim peaks, Elbrus, Savalan mountains and other heights.
Then, the mountaineer Vafa Musayeva made a speech. She spoke about the role of mountaineering in human life, the high spirits it creates and strong self-confidence. Vafa Musayeva also shared her experiences and talked about overcoming obstacles on the way to her goals.
The event continued with the mountaineer answering questions.
Finally, AzTU Vice-Rector Rashad Aliyev thanked Vafa Musayeva and expressed his belief that this event will be a motivation for the personal development of students.
It should be noted that Vafa Musayeva is the first Azerbaijani woman to conquer Everest, and the third Azerbaijani climber to climb this peak overall.
