Representatives of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center held an info session at AzTU

The next info session of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (AKM) was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the info session, registration was announced open for the VI wave of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center (AKM) trainings, which were jointly established by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (RINN), the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDIA) and the Israeli “Technion” Institute of Technology.

Ayten Sadiqova, head of the SABAH groups of AzTU, spoke about the importance of developing the field of cybersecurity. She said that the AzTU administration attaches great importance to this field and that all conditions have been created at the university to improve the knowledge and skills of students in this area.

AKM mentor Sanan Novruzlu provided detailed information about the current cyber threats in the world and in the country, their damage, theft of state-important data, as well as cyber attacks on private sector data. He stated that the purpose of conducting AKM trainings is to form the knowledge and skills of cybersecurity personnel in the country at the highest level.

AKM mentor Sakhavat Abdiyev provided AzTU students with detailed information about AKM. He said that a total of 360 people are planned to be trained for the first 6 waves of AKM, 240 people have graduated from the first 4 waves, and currently the trainings of the 5th wave are about to end. All graduates represent the center in both state institutions and the private sector. The representative of the center called on AzTU students to be active and join the last 6th wave of the trainings. Registration for the trainings will be completed on May 7.

AKM mentor Osman Aliyev emphasized during the info session that the trainings conducted by the Center are based on the training program of the Israeli Technion Institute of Technology and it is planned to train 60 specialists for each training period. The center's employee noted that the team of foreign trainers checks the level of English, IT skills, psychological state of the participants who applied for the training, and also tests their interview skills. As a result, candidates who successfully passed all stages are given 6-month training in the "Blue team" (defense) and "Red team" (attack). Those who successfully complete the training are given an official certificate from the "Technion" Institute.

Finally, representatives of the AKM answered questions of interest to AzTU students.
