An educational event on organ donation was held for students, organized by the Institute of Biomedical Engineering of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and initiated by the Coordination Center for Organ Donation and Transplantation under the Ministry of Health. The goal was to increase the level of awareness among students about organ donation and to form public awareness in this area.

AzTU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Nurali Yusifbeyli, spoke about the moral and social importance of organ donation and emphasized the importance of educating students in this area.

Gunay Abbasova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Coordination Center for Organ Donation and Transplantation, provided detailed information on the importance of organ donation, the measures implemented in this area in Azerbaijan, and the implementation mechanisms. She noted that the field of organ donation and transplantation in Azerbaijan is regulated by legislation.

Mehriban Aliyeva, physician-coordinator of the Coordination Center for Organ Donation and Transplantation, presented the experience of countries around the world in this area to the attention of students in the form of slides.
