The next “Bootcamp” was organized by the Agrarian Innovation Center within the framework of the “Application of Artificial Intelligence in Precision Agriculture” project, which promotes the application of digital technologies and innovative approaches in the field of agriculture.
The main goal of the “Bootcamp” is to improve the knowledge and skills of young specialists, study agrarian innovations in a practical environment, and ensure the exchange of experience between large specialized companies, acceleration and incubation centers, as well as students.
The “Bootcamp” organized on the territory of the “Food City Agrocomplex” located in the Khachmaz district on August 6-7 was attended by students studying in the specialties of information technologies, agronomy, electronics, nutrition, computer engineering and data analytics. The two-day event was attended by 30 students from about 20 higher education institutions, as well as specialists from more than 10 acceleration and incubation centers.
The Bootcamp was attended by Azer Bayramov, director of the AzTU SmartTech Innovators Center, and Aisha Rashidova, a student of the Faculty of Special Techniques and Technology.
Participants had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the application of artificial intelligence in the agricultural sector.
Practical presentations and demonstrations were held as part of the event by representatives of acceleration and incubation centers, as well as specialized agricultural companies. Participants visited the “Shabran Agro Tourism Center” innovative farm, the Scientific Research Institute of Fruit Growing and Tea Growing, the “Smart Garden” fruit growing area of the institute, and the “Amoris” and “Firdevs” innovative farms. During the info tours, practical information on digital solutions, sensor technologies, and artificial intelligence algorithms applied in farms was presented.
“Bootcamp” participants were also given the opportunity to participate in the Agrarian Business Festival and the Peach Festival held in Khachmaz. Within the framework of the festival, students got acquainted with the ecosystem of the agricultural sector, local production, and the agrotourism potential of the region.
