A delegation from prominent Turkish universities visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) for discussions on enhancing academic collaboration and exploring new areas of cooperation. The delegation included Professor Eyüp Debik, Rector of Yıldız Technical University, Vatan Karakaya,
Vice-Rector of Yıldız Technical University, Özer Çınar, Chief Advisor to the Rector, Professor Şenol Ataoğlu, Vice-Rector of Istanbul Technical University, Professor Hasari Çelebi, Vice-Rector of Gebze Technical University, and Neciba Nasibova, Educational Advisor at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Turkey.
The distinguished guests met with AzTU Rector, Professor Vilayat Valiyev, along with university representatives. The meeting focused on the strengthening of existing ties between AzTU and Turkish institutions. It was noted that the cooperation between the universities had shown significant progress, and the efforts made thus far were highly appreciated.
One of the key points discussed was the potential for implementing dual degree programs at the master’s level between Turkish universities and AzTU. This initiative would allow students to receive degrees from both institutions, further enhancing the academic exchange and cooperation between the universities.
Following the discussions, a memorandum of understanding was signed between AzTU and Yıldız Technical University, formalizing their partnership in education and research.
After the meeting, the delegation toured the AzTU campus, gaining insight into the university’s academic facilities and infrastructure.
