Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) hosted the event titled "International Women’s Day 2025 Baku IWD 2025 Baku", aimed at promoting women’s activities in the fields of technology and innovation.

The event was organized jointly by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (DDA), AzTU’s Student Trade Union Committee (STUC), foreign students studying at AzTU, the Turkic States Youth Platform (TSYP), Women Techmakers, and Google Developer Groups.

During the opening of the event, Fatih Emir Torun, the chairman of TSYP, and Malik Mammadli, the community leader of Google Developer Groups, spoke about the event’s goals and significance, providing participants with valuable information. The majority of attendees were women studying and working in the ICT field.

The event, featuring engaging speeches, created a unique opportunity for women who have succeeded in the fields of information technologies, artificial intelligence, the gaming industry, digital communication, user experience (UX) design, social media strategy, and cybersecurity, to share their knowledge and experiences. Representatives from DDA, various international and local experts, startup leaders, researchers, and professionals working in the technology sector also participated in the event.

Interactive discussions were held with participants, highlighting the importance of supporting the potential of women in technology and innovation, and emphasizing the necessity of organizing such events regularly to shape the next generation of women leaders.
