A presentation was held at AzTU regarding industrial doctoral studies
Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) held a presentation on the Industrial Doctorate model to be implemented jointly with AzTU within the framework of its cooperation with Bar-Ilan University of Israel.
Representatives of AzTU and industrial enterprises cooperating with it attended the presentation ceremony. Welcoming the participants, AzTU Vice-Rector for International Relations Fariz Mammadov provided information on the cooperation between AzTU and Bar-Ilan University. Then, Bar-Ilan University Vice-President for University-Industry Relations Professor Zeev Zalevsky made a presentation on the Industrial Doctorate model.
Industrial Doctorate is a modern international doctoral model. Within this model, doctoral research is directly linked to a real technological, production or management issue of the company. In the proposed model, a company employee with a master's degree and relevant professional experience conducts doctoral research on a topic relevant to the enterprise and receives joint scientific guidance and expert support from Bar-Ilan and AzTU specialists in this process.
The opportunities created by the Industrial Doctorate for companies include:
•the opportunity to solve technological and production problems through scientific research;
•increasing the professional and scientific potential of promising engineers and managers;
•access to international scientific research;
•creating new technologies, products and solutions;
•strengthening the company's own scientific research and innovation potential.
After the presentation, questions of interest to the participants were answered and an exchange of views on the topic was held.
