An event titled “Western Azerbaijan is our historical land!” was held at AzTU
On September 22, an event titled "Western Azerbaijan is our historical land!" was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).
The event began with a minute of silence to honor the memory of the sons of the Motherland who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty. The National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played.
Nazim Mustafayev, a member of the Board of the Western Azerbaijan Community and a PhD in History, along with PhDs in History Jabi Bahramov and Bakhtiyar Hasanov, delivered speeches at the event.
The speakers noted that the gradual transformation of the Western Azerbaijan territory into Armenia was the result of policies involving resettlement, administrative-territorial changes, and ethnic cleansing—processes that intensified significantly over the last two centuries. It was highlighted that, just as in Karabakh, historical and religious monuments belonging to Azerbaijanis in Western Azerbaijan were destroyed and demolished by Armenians.
The event also highlighted the views expressed by the President and Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev regarding the return of Western Azerbaijanis to their historical lands.
At the conclusion of the event, the participants' questions were answered.
