AzTU Sport Club
A center created for students' healthy lifestyle and athletic achievements
Club History and Activities
The Department of Physical Education and Sports at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was established in 1950. The first head of the department was O.M. Sarkisov, a well-known sports specialist of his time.
In 2015, by order of the Ministry of Education, the department was abolished, and the 'AzTU Sport Club' was established on its basis. The main goal of the club is to ensure the popularity of physical education and sports among students and involve them in a healthy lifestyle.
In addition to organizing the university's internal competitions, the club also represents AzTU in republic-level championships, universiades, and international tournaments.
