Head of department Sabina Almammadova Mammad – an Azerbaijani philologist. Doctor of philology; professor. She entered the English language faculty of Azerbaijan University of Languages in 1989–1994. She has worked as a leading specialist in the "Analytical Information" department of the Presidium ANAS, as well as the responsible secretary and translator of the magazine "Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis" in 1994–2004. She has been working in the Institute of History named after A.Bakikhanov of ANAS as a leading researcher in the department of "History of the Soviet period of Azerbaijan" since 2003. Since 2008 she has been teaching "English language" at the Foreign Languages Department of Azerbaijan Technical University. She defended his thesis on "Language of Bakhtiyar Vahabzade's poetry" at the Institute of Linguistics named after I. Nasimi of ANAS in 2008. In 2010, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, she was given the academic title of associate professor of foreign languages. She received his doctoral dissertation at the Institute of Linguistics named after I.Nasimi of ANAS on the theme "Forms of unification and standardization of terms in the acquisition of Modern Azerbaijan literary language" in 2018. She translated 25 books of the Institute of History named after A.A.Bakikhanov of ANAS into English, which were published in New York City, London, Bishkek and other places. She is the author of 1 textbook, 1 dictionary, 7 monographs, 1 methodical manual, 80 scientific articles in Azerbaijan and abroad (United States, Australia, India, Canada, Turkey, Georgia, Moscow, Ukraine, etc.).
