As part of the “Strengthening the Sustainable Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Azerbaijani Higher Education Institutions” (ENGAGE) project, funded by the European Commission and coordinated by Mingachevir State University, another training session was held in Portugal. The training was hosted by the University of Lisbon, a European partner of the project.
Professor Nuraly Yusifbayli, the Vice Rector for Educational Affairs at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), represented the university during the visit.
On the first day of the training program, Professor Zita Martins, Vice President for International Relations at the University of Lisbon, welcomed the delegation from nine Azerbaijani higher education institutions that are members of the project and discussed the importance of international collaboration in entrepreneurship education. Professor Joana Mendonça, Vice President of the Oeiras Municipality, highlighted the role of the university campus in supporting entrepreneurial initiatives and its contributions to both local and international innovation ecosystems.
Next, the coordinator of the ENGAGE project presented a brief report on the project, outlining its objectives and planned activities for the participants.
The delegation was introduced to the “Técnico Lisboa Doctoral School” and its approach to developing research and innovation. During the training, an open discussion on entrepreneurship education was held, allowing for an exchange of experiences. The “E.Awards” program, in which students presented their entrepreneurial projects, was also introduced. At the end of the training program, the delegation visited the Technology Laboratory and received detailed information about the Innovation Center and student laboratories.
