Training Session Under the “ArcGIS for Students” Project Concludes

As part of the “ArcGIS for Students” program, implemented in collaboration with the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) and Esri, one of the world’s leading companies in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), a specialized training session focused on practical skills in real-world work processes, conducted by GIS experts from Azerkosmos, has successfully concluded.

At the closing ceremony, Fariz Mammadov, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Azerbaijan Technical University, welcomed the participants and thanked them for their active engagement in the training.

Soltan Bayramov, Deputy Executive Director of 4SIM, highlighted the organization’s initiatives in developing human capital within the framework of Industry 4.0.

Ilgar Abdullayev, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Azerkosmos on Space Law Issues, emphasized that the project provided students with valuable real-world knowledge. He noted that the increasing demand for skilled professionals in the GIS field, both in Azerbaijan and globally, is creating new opportunities for young specialists.

Students from the University of Economics, Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), and Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) participated in the training sessions, which took place at Azerbaijan Technical University. Throughout the program, students developed expertise in working with spatial data, the practical application of ArcGIS Pro, and the use of GIS technologies.

At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to participants who successfully completed the training.
