Training program launched on “New cyber defense techniques supported by artificial intelligence in wireless communications”

From October 15 to 18, the training on “New cyber defense methods supported by artificial intelligence for wireless communication”, a joint project of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of the Republic of Azerbaijan with Istanbul Technical University, will be held in the capital. At the opening ceremony of the training program, the head of the Special Communications and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant General Ilgar Musayev, welcomed the participants and said that in the program to be held in four days, it is planned to hold high-level trainings by scientists of a number of prestigious universities of Turkey to selected experts from state institutions and faculty members leaving higher education institutions. Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Vilayat Valiyev said that information security is not only a technological issue, but also has serious economic consequences. According to him, information security is one of the important elements that ensure sustainable economic development. “The development of technologies requires the development of new methods of struggle. At such a moment, artificial intelligence-based technologies reveal serious issues related to the identification of threats and their future prediction. This requires the formation and determination of the specifics of the attacks, as well as the emergence of sufficiently new methods of combating them.In this direction, the role of universities and research centers is increasing enough, the need for their more serious cooperation with industry and enterprises emerges,” the rector noted. Head of TUBITAK BILGEM Center, Ali Gorchin, emphasized the importance of cooperation in new cyber defense methods supported by artificial intelligence for wireless communication, and noted its important role in the development of cyber products based on artificial intelligence in the future. In the training program”Basics of cryptography and network security”, “Cybersecurity Threats in Wireless Channels”, Cyber-attacks at the physical level”, “New Cyber Defense Strategies in Wireless Infrastructures” and “Security of wireless networks, including 5G networks” will be covered. The training will provide an exchange of knowledge, experience and innovative solutions in the field of cyber defense with the support of artificial intelligence. It should be noted that the project was approved by NATO’s Science for Peace and Security program.
