The Azerbaijan National Championship of the “Fibonacci” International Robot Olympiad was held, bringing together over 1,000 students from 36 educational institutions across the country. Young engineers competed for victory in 21 different categories, showcasing their skills in robotics and innovation. In addition to Azerbaijan, participants from Turkey and Kazakhstan also took part in this year’s competition.
A team mentored by Turkana Gahramanli, a faculty member in the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), achieved outstanding success, securing 1st place in four categories and 2nd place in one category.
Notably, the teams mentored by Turkana Gahramanli included Yusif Aliyev, a first-year Computer Science student at AzTU, and Khumara Gahramanli, a doctoral student specializing in Systematic Analysis, Management, and Information Processing.
The winning teams have earned the opportunity to represent Azerbaijan at the Fibonacci International Robot Olympiad, which will take place in Antalya, Turkey, in April.
