Six students of AzTU will study abroad within the framework of “Erasmus+”
Six students from Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) will study abroad during the spring semester of the 2023/2024 academic year as part of the “Erasmus+ KA171” exchange program. The students include Nuhin Khalilov, a second-year student from the Faculty of Information and Telecommunications Technologies, who will study at Ankara University; Nurtakin Guliyeva and Leyla Shafiyeva, third-year students from the Faculty of Information and Telecommunications Technologies and SABAH groups, who will study at Cluj-Napoca Technical University in Romania; Nurlan Narimanov and Nabat Yusifli, third-year students from the Faculty of Economics and Management, who will study at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in Romania; and Mirali Alili, a second-year student from the same faculty, who will study at Powislanski University in Poland. AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev met with the students, wishing them success in their studies and future endeavors.
The first report conference was held within the ENGAGE project
The first progress conference of the “Strengthening the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Azerbaijani Higher Education Institutions” (ENGAGE) project, in which Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner, was held. The conference brought together representatives from partner universities in Sweden, Spain, Portugal, Estonia, Poland, and over 20 Azerbaijani higher education institutions. An information session on “TEKNOFEST-2024” was held at AzTU
A session regarding “TEKNOFEST-2024” was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). During the session, AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev discussed the significance of the TEKNOFEST – Aerospace and Technology Festival, which has been held annually since 2018. He emphasized that the festival is an important platform for young researchers and students to showcase their skills. The festival, organized by the “Turkey Technology Team” – T3 Foundation, led by Selcuk Bayraktar, the technological leader of “Baykar” and Turkey’s Ministry of Industry and Technology, was hosted by Azerbaijan in 2022. Rector Valiyev stated that this not only demonstrated the strong brotherhood and friendship between Azerbaijan and Turkey but also showed the expanding scope of TEKNOFEST. The student of AzTU Sports Club became the champion of Azerbaijan in boxing
Gular Huseynova, a student from the Sports Club of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), has become the Azerbaijani champion in boxing. She won the national title in the 44 kg weight category at the country championship organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Boxing Federation. Gular dominated all her matches, defeating her opponents with full superiority and was awarded the title of national champion. AzTU’s rector, Vilayat Valiyev, met with Gular Huseynova and her coach, Iskander Rizayev, an employee of AzTU’s Sports Club, to congratulate them on the victory.
The next management meeting was held within the framework of the IQAinAR project
The next management meeting of the “Erasmus+” program project “Improving Internal Quality Assurance in Teaching, Training, and Assessment Processes at Higher Education Institutions in Azerbaijan and Russia” (IQAinAR) was held in Baku. The meeting took place at Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, with representatives from the project’s partner universities, including Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Representatives of European universities visited AzTU
Representatives from the leading universities of the “Erasmus+” program project titled “Improving Internal Quality Assurance in Teaching, Training, and Assessment Processes at Higher Education Institutions in Azerbaijan and Russia” (IQAinAR), including Spain’s San Antonio Catholic University and the Netherlands’ Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences, visited Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) as part of their trip to Azerbaijan. AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev welcomed the guests and provided detailed information about the work being carried out at the university. He emphasized the significance of “Erasmus+” projects in the internationalization of higher education institutions and expressed confidence that the project would contribute to strengthening quality assurance in Azerbaijani higher education institutions. Wittenborg University President, Meqi Fang, shared insights about her university and discussed the role of international, research-focused projects in strengthening collaboration between higher education institutions. During the meeting, discussions were held about expanding cooperation between AzTU and foreign universities.
An event dedicated to public-private partnership “Progress from Education” was held at AzTU
On January 16, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) hosted an event titled “From Education to Progress,” organized by the Education Development Fund. The event was attended by government officials, university rectors, and representatives from the private sector. In his opening speech, Elnur Nasibov, the Chairman of the Board of the Education Development Fund, emphasized that the event aimed to inform attendees about the Fund’s ongoing projects and its future activities, as well as to encourage more collaboration between government, private institutions, and universities. He provided an overview of the Fund’s achievements in 2023 and invited government and private sector organizations to engage in closer cooperation in the future. A literary and artistic event called “The voice of Karabakh” was held at AzTU
A literary and artistic event dedicated to the 3rd year of the 44-day Patriotic War was held with the support of the Youth Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the organization of the Public Union “Support to the Education of Youth”, and the partnership of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Gadir Khalilov, the executive director of the Youth Fund, and Jeyhun Mammadov, deputy of the parliament, spoke at the event. It was reported that under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Army liberated our lands occupied by the enemy for 30 years. The glorious Victory won in the 44-day war proved to the whole world that Azerbaijan is a winner on both the political and military levels. The event continued with musical numbers.
The dear memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence
On September 27 at 12:00, the management and employees of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) held a minute’s silence in front of the university’s Martyrs’ Monument in memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. It should be noted that according to the Decree December the 2nd in 2020 the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated, September 27 was declared the Day of Remembrance in Azerbaijan as a sign of deep respect for our soldiers and officers who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and sacrificed their lives in the struggle for the territorial integrity of our country, as well as all our martyrs. May God have mercy on our martyrs! We bow before the souls of our martyrs!
A seminar on “Personnel training in modern energy” was held at AzTU
A seminar on the topic of “Personnel Training in Modern Energy” was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). Speaking at the event, AzTU Rector Vilayat Valiyev said that the seminar was dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Nurali Yusifbeyli, Honored Engineer of Azerbaijan, Honored Scientist, Honored Power Engineer of the CIS, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.
