At Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), the final international conference on the project “Increasing the capacity of universities to initiate and participate in the development of clusters with the principles of innovation and sustainability” (UniClaD), which was implemented within the framework of the European Union’s “ERASMUS+ KA2” program, began its work.
The conference is held with the participation of more than 20 higher education and industrial institutions representing Italy, Spain, Poland, Lithuania, Austria, Moldova, Ukraine and Azerbaijan, which includes the project consortium. Within the framework of the conference, presentations will be presented in terms of the development and activity of clusters in the agricultural sector, as well as the study of European experience. About 60 representatives representing 20 international partner enterprises of the project are participating in the conference.
Rector of AzTU, Vilayat Valiyev gave an opening speech at the event and noted the role of the projects implemented within the framework of the European Union “ERASMUS+ KA2” program in increasing the teaching and research potential of higher education institutions and strengthening cooperation between them. Mujdat Hasanov, the head of the international cooperation department of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education under the Ministry of Science and Education, Parviz Baghirov, the director of the Erasmus National Office, Anar Jafarov, the director of the Agrarian Innovation Center under the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as Viorel, the rector of Moldova Technical University, the partner universities in the project, spoke later. Rector of Bostan, Poltava State Agrarian University Oleksandr Halich and Rector of Comrat State University Sergey Zaharia to the development of higher education institutions of “Erasmus” projects. He said that he made a comprehensive contribution.
The conference continued with presentations on the results of the activities of higher education institutions and organizations that are partners of the project.
