A meeting was held between the Department of Chemical Technology, Recycling and Ecology of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and the Eurasian Energy and Sustainable Development Public Union. During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the development of university-university cooperation, the work to be done in the implementation of joint projects. At the same time, it was noted that bilateral cooperation will contribute to the improvement of people’s living conditions and the development of the environment. AzTU professor Fakhreddin Yusifov said that participating in the competitions announced by the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan with joint projects will create a foundation for strengthening new cooperation.

A seminar was held at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) under the organization of the National Hydrometeorological Service under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources. A seminar called “Effective communication and communication skills” was held under the organization of AzTU Book Club, which operates under the Library Information Center (KIM) of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). First, KIM director Khayala Hajiyeva gave information about the activities of AzTU Book Club. He said that the club regularly organizes trainings and seminars on various topics for students and employees. The goal is to increase interest in reading, to develop self-expression skills of young people, and to form the rules of proper use of the library and books. Later, head of the Department of Training and Research Services of KIM, psychologist, trainer Lamiya Miryagubova, clinical psychologist, employee of the Scientific Research Institute of Psychology Fuad Asadov, psychologist, trainer, employee of “LANDAU School” Leyla Sultan gave necessary information to the participants. On September 27 at 12:00, the management and employees of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) held a minute’s silence in front of the university’s Martyrs’ Monument in memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. It should be noted that according to the Decree December the 2nd in 2020 the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated, September 27 was declared the Day of Remembrance in Azerbaijan as a sign of deep respect for our soldiers and officers who fought heroically in the Patriotic War and sacrificed their lives in the struggle for the territorial integrity of our country, as well as all our martyrs. May God have mercy on our martyrs! We bow before the souls of our martyrs!

AzTU, who spoke at the event, said that according to the Decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev in 2007, June 18 was established as Human Rights Day in Azerbaijan. This significant date has been widely celebrated in our country for more than 15 years. The establishment of the Human Rights Day is an indicator of the high value our country attaches to human rights. Later, the appeal of Sabina Aliyeva, the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan, regarding “Human Rights Month” was brought to the students’ attention. It was noted that AzTU regularly holds various educational events dedicated to human rights and Sustainable Development Goals. Within the framework of the event, students’ questions were answered.

In order to train local IT specialists in the country, mobile operator “Nar” regularly conducts trainings at the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). This time, the training was held at the “Nar” GSM laboratory operating under AzTU. The subject of the training intended for students with special knowledge and skills covered the application areas of 5th generation mobile technology, internet of things, inter-device connection and modern communication technologies, in addition to the provision of mobile communication.  The purpose of the trainings prepared by the professional technical staff of “Nar” is for students to learn from the work executors and to share practical knowledge with university students. The closing ceremony of the “Introduction to Entrepreneurship” training organized by “SABAH Academy” at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was held. AzTU vice-rector Rashad Aliyev, speaking at the event, said that the lessons were conducted by local and foreign experts in the 15-week training. It was noted that students’ participation in these trainings will be useful in their future careers. Rashad Aliyev also said that the mentioned trainings will be held regularly. The executive director of “SABAH academy” Farhad Pashayev gave a report on the performance of the students in the trainings. Then the students were presented with a certificate.

Employees of “Prosol” company conducted training on “One Hundred Measurements, One Click – Against Virtual Threats” at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The aim of the training is to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills to combat emerging virtual threats and develop a secure digital landscape. The training covered a wide range of cybersecurity topics, including common attack vectors, secure coding practices, incident response strategies, and proactive defense measures. Students who actively participated in the question-and-answer session at the end were presented with gifts.
