A round table on the implementation of the “2022-2026 National Action Plan on strengthening the fight against corruption” was held at AzTU
A roundable discussion was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) about the National Action Plan for Strengthening the Fight Against Corruption for 2022-2026 according to 2024 Work Plan of the Ministry of Science and Education. The heads of departments, deans, and staff members participated in the roundable table. Aytan Shikhaliyeva, Director of the Human Resources Department, spoke about the works to increase the transparency in the hiring process at AzTU and the application of public oversight mechanisms. Later, the deans discussed positive sides of the electronic exam system created to minimize interaction between teachers and students during exams, and the results of its implementation. AzTU employee participated in the mobility program in Romania
Associate Professor, the head of the Department of Special Purpose Materials and Tools of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) Marziya Aghayeva participated in a one-week mobility program within Erasmus+ exchange program for academic staff at Cluj-Napoca Technical University of Romania. Marziya Aghayeva met with faculty members from the Faculty of Materials and Environmental Engineering at Cluj-Napoca Technical University, as well as staff from the Departments of Materials Science and Technology, and Materials Science and Engineering. She got acquainted with their activities in detail. Another management meeting was held in France within the framework of the LMQS project
A management meeting for the project “Open and Distance Education Formats for Professional Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs (LMQS) in Strategic Quality Management and Risk Management in Healthcare in the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan” was held in France. The meeting was organized by the project coordinator, the University of Western Attica in Greece, and hosted by the University of Côte d’Azur in France. The project is being implemented under the European Union-funded “Erasmus+KA2” program, aimed at enhancing the potential in higher education. Project coordinator, professor Hasan Huseynov, and the Head of the International Relations Department, Orkhan Vatankhah represented Azerbaijan Technical University. AzTU teachers participated in a one-week mobility in Poland
Within the framework of the Erasmus+ exchange program, Associate Professor Gunay Aliyeva and Senior Lecturer Aysel Qadirova from the Department of Economics and Statistics at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) participated in a one-week mobility program for academic staff at Powislanski University in Poland. Gunay Aliyeva and Aysel Qadirova closely familiarized themselves with the activities of the Department of Economics and Management at Powislanski University, met with the academic staff, and provided detailed information about teaching and research activities in the field of economics and management at AzTU. They also delivered lectures on “Sustainable Development” and “Macroeconomic Models” to the students of Powislanski University and discussed potential collaboration opportunities between the two departments. AzTU employee attended a master class on “Azerbaijan’s growing contribution to the green future of the world
Igor Nasirov, an employee of the Sustainable Development Institute at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) conducted a master class on the topic “ Azerbaijan’s Growing Contribution to Earth’s Green Future.” The first part of the event was dedicated to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The aim of the event was to raise awareness among researchers, faculty, and students about the various aspects of COP29 and its alignment with the global climate agenda. Comprehensive information was provided on global trends and experiences, Azerbaijan’s contributions to a greener world, projects to be implemented in Azerbaijan under COP29, and other related matters in the event.
Rector met with the members of the AzTU basketball team, which became the champion of Tam Youth Basketball League
The Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Vilayat Valiyev, met with the members of the AzTU basketball team. He congratulated the team on becoming the champions of the Tam Young Basketball League and wished them success in future competitions. The Rector also inquired about the students’ academic progress and answered their questions. The trainings organized within the framework of “Technest” have been completed
A ceremony to award certificates to participants of the training programs organized within the framework of “Technest” was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU). The training sessions were organized with the partnership and support of AzTU SABAH groups, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, IT Brains Academy, and Technest University, lasted for three months. Nurali Yusifbeyli, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at AzTU, Elza Samadova, Head of the SABAH Groups Project Executive Committee at the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, Fatimə Ələkbərova, Department Head at the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, and Orkhan Mammadov, founder and head of IT Brains Academy delivered the speeches at the event. They highlighted the importance of the training programs. Certificates were presented to the students who successfully completed the training at the end of the ceremony.
AzTU representatives participated in the regional meeting of DAAD in Georgia
The DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Tbilisi Regional Office organized a regional meeting for DAAD Alumni/Ambassadors from South Caucasus countries in the town of Tsinandali, Georgia. The AzTU team won the Tam Junior Basketball League
At the Sports Palace of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), the final match of the Tam Young Basketball League was held. The basketball teams of AzTU and the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sports (ADBTISA) faced off in the final. The AzTU team won the Tam Young Basketball League title with an 85-73 victory in a tense and competitive match. It should be mentioned that 11 teams participated in the league, which started in October of the previous year.
