The delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Defense Industry, Hidayat Azimov, visited the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).
Rector, Vilayat Valiyev, gave detailed information about the work being done at AzTU regarding the organization of modern teaching and education, aimed at training highly qualified engineers in line with the demands of the labor market.
Deputy Minister Hidayat Azimov shared his thoughts on the training of qualified personnel in the defense industry, the improvement of specialists and the development of innovative engineering. He noted that there are effective cooperative relations between the subordinate enterprises of the Ministry of Defense Industry (MDI) and AzTU, and said that favorable conditions have been created by the Ministry for the consolidating students’ theoretical knowledge based on experience.
After the meeting, the MDI delegation visited AzTU’s laboratories, workshops, practical training rooms where projects are carried out, and the SMB model enterprise.
Later, H. Azimov met with a group of students studying at the Special Techniques and Technology Faculty established at AzTU based on a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the purpose of training highly qualified personnel for the country’s defense industry complex. The Deputy Minister highlighted the attention given by the Azerbaijani government to the sustainable development of the country’s defense industry. He spoke about the achievements in the production of modern military products and provided information on the purposeful activities carried out by the Ministry of Defense Industry to further improve professional training in the necessary specializations for the defense industry.
