Azerbaijan Technical University was represented at the “Caspian Agro 2026” and “InterFood Azerbaijan” exhibitions with an innovative project.
At the exhibition, the “SoilMate” smart agricultural robot developed by Ismayil Baba, a student of the Faculty of Special Equipment and Technology, and Ibrahim Jafarov, a student of the Faculty of Energy at Azerbaijan Technical University, attracted significant interest from participants.
The “SoilMate” smart agricultural robot is designed as an innovative system that functions as a digital assistant for farmers. The robot measures soil pH level, moisture, and salinity in real time, transmits the collected data to a digital panel, and operates autonomously.
The main goal of the project is to ensure more efficient use of resources in agriculture, contribute to increased productivity, and support the implementation of data-driven and autonomous management systems in the sector. Its compact structure and high functionality make it a suitable technological solution for both small and medium-sized farms.
