Vilayat Valiyev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), was a special guest in the “Meet the Master: Getting Research Quality Right” segment of Clarivate’s webinar titled “Using Academic AI Correctly: Clarivate’s AI-Powered Research Applications.”
Organized in Azerbaijan for the first time in Clarivate’s history at the initiative of Khayala Hajiyeva, the company’s Customer Success Manager, the session attracted more than 600 participants, including representatives of universities and research institutes across Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani researchers living abroad.
According to Khayala Hajiyeva, the initiative aims to bring academic staff together with prominent figures who play an important role in the development of science, education, and research in Azerbaijan, providing opportunities to benefit from their experience and advice.
During the webinar, Vilayat Valiyev spoke about the role of artificial intelligence in science and education. He noted that the appropriate and effective use of AI can improve time management and facilitate the analysis of large volumes of data.
Highlighting the importance of artificial intelligence in fostering creativity, the rector also emphasized the need to apply key performance indicators (KPIs) when using these tools.
The webinar series is part of Clarivate’s global efforts to support research and academic development. The sessions are delivered in different languages across more than 180 countries and offer certificates to participants.
