As part of the “Erasmus+ KA2” program, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) is a partner in the “Strategic Quality Management in Healthcare, Risk Management in Open and Distance Education Formats for Professional Bachelor’s and Master’s Preparation in the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan” (LMQS) project. Recently, training sessions were held in Athens, Greece, at the coordinating institution, the University of West Attica. AzTU was represented by Orkhan Vatankhah, Head of the International Relations Department, and Murshud Mehdiyev, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Management, during the visit. In line with the new Master’s program in “Quality and Risk Management in Healthcare,” the training covered topics such as healthcare management, research methods, healthcare economics, healthcare financing, quality management in healthcare, healthcare policy, and social insurance. In addition to AzTU, representatives from local project partners, including Nakhchivan State University and universities from Kazakhstan, also participated in the event.  

The symposium included panel sessions on topics such as the impact of the ICPC movement, the influence of programming competitions on the IT industry, and their role in the country’s digitalization efforts. Discussions focused on increasing student and youth interest in programming and IT fields. The high achievements of local universities in international competitions were also highlighted. AzTU’s Rector, Vilayat Valiyev, met with Vugar Huseynli during the symposium, wishing him continued success in his work.
