AzTU technopark is built on the basis of the defense industry cluster
Another meeting of the Scientific Council of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) was held. The rules for the preparation and drafting of textbooks, study materials, teaching presentations, monographs, and educational-methodical guides were thoroughly discussed and approved in the meeting at the Nabran Education and Rexreation Center. The reports of the deans on the academic activities of their faculties were listened. The plans for newly created majors for the 2024/2025 academic year were approved. A new Department of Business Management was established within the International Business School. The reconstruction of the AzTU Technopark and the registration of the residents were accepted. It was decided that the defense industry of the technopark would operate based on a claster. The AzTU Alumni Association was established to increase the university’s historical traditions and future technological successes.
A round table on the implementation of the “2022-2026 National Action Plan on strengthening the fight against corruption” was held at AzTU
A roundable discussion was held at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) about the National Action Plan for Strengthening the Fight Against Corruption for 2022-2026 according to 2024 Work Plan of the Ministry of Science and Education. The heads of departments, deans, and staff members participated in the roundable table. Aytan Shikhaliyeva, Director of the Human Resources Department, spoke about the works to increase the transparency in the hiring process at AzTU and the application of public oversight mechanisms. Later, the deans discussed positive sides of the electronic exam system created to minimize interaction between teachers and students during exams, and the results of its implementation. The event continued with the discussions on other issues in the work plan.

On June 12, 2024, a meeting was held to discuss the development of the innovation ecosystem within the framework of university-industry partnerships at the Sustainable Development Center with the participation of representatives from higher education institutions and Sanem Yalçıntaş, the founder and director of Turkey’s “CATALYSADE Technology Transfer and Innovation Inc,” as part of the preparations for the Education Development Forum initiated by the Education Development Fund.
