The Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Vilayat Valiyev, met with Aykhan Allahverdiyev, a graduate of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Science, participant in the Patriotic War, and recipient of the Presidential Award for Youth. During the meeting, discussions focused on the youth policies implemented in the country, particularly the attention and support provided by President Ilham Aliyev to young people. The Rector emphasized that, like AzTU students, graduates also hold a special place for the university. He noted that the achievements of alumni serve as both an example and a source of motivation and self-confidence for current students. As part of the European Union’s “Erasmus+ KA2” program, Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) participated in the UniClaD project, titled “Enhancing the Capacity of Universities to Foster Innovation and Sustainability through Cluster Development and Participation.” The latest meeting of the project’s management team was held at the Poznań University of Life Sciences (PULS) in Poland. AzTU was represented by the project coordinator, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, Subhan Namazov, and the Head of the Research and Development Department, Bakhtiyar Badalov. During the meeting, reports on the progress of the project were presented by responsible representatives, followed by discussions on challenges encountered and upcoming tasks. Decisions were made regarding training courses to be held at partner universities across Europe. Notably, it was agreed that AzTU’s master’s and doctoral students will participate in a one-month training program in Vienna, Austria.
