The Global Sustainable Development Congress was held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. It was organized by the Times Higher Education (THE) agency. The congress brought together over 3000 global leaders and innovators from more than 100 countries to discuss “Sustainable Development”. During the congress 10 leading local universities were represented at the Azerbaijan Pavilion with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and the organization of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education. Azerbaijan Technical University (Aztu) participated successfully in the event. Subhan Namazov, Vice Rector for Science and Innovation and Bakhtiyar Badalov, the Head of the Research and Development Department represented the university. Aztu staff held meetings with the representatives from different public and private institutions, including the heads of higher education institutions during the four-day Global Sustainable Development Congress. The rankings (QS and THE) and the details of collaboration in the field of scientific research were focused on the discussions.

Igor Nasirov, an employee of the Institute for Sustainable Development organized the second master class titled “Growing Contribution of Azerbaijan to Earth’s Green Future” at Azerbaijan Technical University (Aztu). The master class, titled “Towards green Industrialization from Challenges to Solutions” aimed to highlight the ongoing processes in this field for scientists, researchers, faculty members, and students. The guest of the event, Ekaterina Sazonova, Caspian Sea Countries LWD Domain Champion gave a speech about global trends and practices, Azerbaijan’s contributions to the green world, and the role and significance of women in the industry. Later, the discussions were held with participants on the projects in Azerbaijan during COP29, and the development of important skills related to the contributions to the green future.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) İnsan resursları departamentinin rəhbəri, beynəlxalq ICF sertfikatlı kouç Aytən Şıxəliyeva SABAH qruplarının tələbələrinə kouçluqla bağlı seminar keçib. Məqsəd son dövrlərin əsas təlabat mövzularından biri olan kouçluqla bağlı tələbələrin daha geniş məlumata sahib olması, mənəvi inkişaflarını artıraraq yeni bacarıqlar əldə etməsi olub. Seminarda tələbələrə  kouçluğun şəxslərin həyatındakı rolunda, uğurlarında, şəxsin fərqli mövqədə yer almasında göstərdiyi dəstəkdən danışılıb. Həmçinin “kouçinq”in elmi əsasları, effektiv kouçluq texnikaları, kouçinq prosesinin mərhələləri, ünsiyyət modelləri mövzuları barədə ətraflı məlumat verilib. Sonda tələbələri maraqlandıran suallar cavablandırılıb.

Rusiya Ali İqtisadiyyat Məktəbinin professoru Fuad Ələsgərov Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetində (AzTU) olub. Dünya şöhrətli alim AzTU-nun İqtisadiyyat və idarəetmə fakültəsinin professor-müəllim heyəti ilə görüşüb, həmçinin öz tədqiqat işlərinin təqdimatını keçirib. Fuad Ələsgərov məllim heyəti ilə müzakirələr aparıb, onları maraqlandıran sualları cavablandırıb.

The students of the Faculty of Energy and Automation of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) participated in the “Best Student Scientific Work” competition about “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” organized by Azerbaijan University. The main focus on the competition was “Revitalization of Karabakh – Ecological Projects.” The students Rahman Ahmadov and Nazim Orujov presented a project named “Electricity and Heat Energy Production Using Low-Temperature Thermal Waters in the Republic of Azerbaijan” and received a diploma in the nomination for “Most Interactive Presentation.” It should be noted that Associate Professor Ramiz Kalbiyev, the head of the Department of Energy Efficiency and Green Energy Technologies at AzTU was the supervisor of the students.

Azərbaycan Texniki Universitetinin (AzTU) Beynəlxalq əlaqələr şöbəsinin beynəlxalq əməkdaşlıq və mübadilə qrupunun rəhbəri Mənzər Məmmədli Türkiyənin Uşak Universitetinin təşkil etdiyi beynəlxalq həftədə iştirak edib. 21 ölkədən ümumilikdə 38 universitetin 70-ə yaxın akademik və inzibati heyətinin qatıldığı tədbirdə iştirakçıların təqdimatı həyata keçirilib, beynəlxalq əməkdaşlıq məsələləri müzakirə olunub. Səfər çərçivəsində Mənzər Məmmədli Uşak Universitetinin Beynəlxalq əlaqələr şöbəsinin əməkdaşları ilə görüşərək növbəti illərdə tələbə və müəllim mübadiləsinin həyata keçirilməsi üçün müzakirələr aparıb. AzTU əməkdaşının Uşak Universitetinin rektoru professor Ekrem Savaşla görüşündə iki universitet arasında mümkün əməkdaşlıq istiqamətləri müzakirə edilib.  

Azərbaycan Texniki Universiteti (AzTU), YAP Yasamal rayon təşkilatının birgə təşkilatçılığı ilə 15 İyun - Milli Qurtuluş Gününə həsr olunan tədbir keçirilib. Tədbirdə AzTU-nun rektoru Vilayət Vəliyev, YAP Yasamal rayon təşkilatının sədri Bəxtiyar Nəbiyev, Yeni Azərbaycan Partiyası Veteranlar şurasının üzvü Misir Mərdanov, Milli Məclisinin deputatı, Yeni Azərbaycan Partiyası İdarə Heyətinin üzvü Şahin İsmayılov, YAP Yasamal rayon təşkilatının əməkdaşları, Partiyanın üzvləri, universitetin professor-müəllim heyəti və tələbələr iştirak ediblər. Əvvəlcə AzTU-nun foyesində ulu öndər Heydər Əliyevin büstü önünə gül dəstələri düzülüb, xatirəsi ehtiramla yad olunub. Daha sonra ulu öndər Heydər Əliyev və Vətənin ərazi bütövlüyü və suverenliyi uğrunda canlarından keçən şəhidlərimizin əziz xatirəsi bir dəqiqəlik sükutla yad olunub. Azərbaycanın Dövlət Himni səsləndirilib. Ümummilli lider Heydər Əliyevin zəngin həyat və fəaliyyətini əks etdirən videoçarx nümayiş olunub. Tədbirdə çıxış edən AzTU-nun rektoru Vilayət Vəliyev Milli Qurtuluş Gününün əhəmiyyəti və önəmindən danışıb. Bildirib ki, 90-cı illərdə Azərbaycanı ağır və dözülməz vəziyyətdən xilas edən lider məhz ulu öndər Heydər Əliyev ola bilərdi. Xalqın təkidli tələbi ilə yenidən hakimiyyətə qayıdan ulu öndər Heydər Əliyev Azərbaycanın müstəqilliyini qorudu, ölkə bütün sahələrdə inkişaf etdi. Bu gün Ulu Öndərin layiqli davamçısı, Müzəffər Ali Baş Komandan, Prezident İlham Əliyevin qətiyyəti və siyasi iradəsi sayəsində qalib ölkə olan Azərbaycan dünyada söz sahibidir. Yeni Azərbaycan Partiyası Veteranlar şurasının üzvü Misir Mərdanov çıxışı zamanı ulu öndər Heydər Əliyevlə bağlı xatirələrindən, onun liderlik keyfiyyətindən, xilaskarlıq missiyasından danışıb. Milli Məclisinin deputatı, Yeni Azərbaycan Partiyası İdarə heyətinin üzvü Şahin İsmayılov, YAP Yasamal rayon təşkilatının sədri Bəxtiyar Nəbiyev də tarixə qızıl hərflə yazılmış 15 İyun – Milli Qurtuluş Gününün Azərbaycan xalqının həyatında müstəsna rolunu xüsusi qeyd ediblər. Qeyd olunub ki, Heydər Əliyev çoxşaxəli və zəngin fəaliyyəti, misilsiz insani keyfiyyətləri sayəsində zəmanəmizin əbədiyaşar dahisinə çevrilib. Prezident İlham Əliyevin uzaqgörən, düşünülmüş və qətiyyətli siyasəti nəticəsində Azərbaycanın əldə etdiyi uğur və nailiyyətlər onu deməyə əsas verir ki, ulu öndər Heydər Əliyevin bizə miras qoyduğu müstəqil dövlət əmin əllərdədir. Çıxışlardan sonra bir qrup partiya üzvünə fəxri fərman, partiya sıralarına yeni qoşulanlara isə üzvlük vəsiqələri təqdim olunub.

On June 12, 2024, a meeting was held to discuss the development of the innovation ecosystem within the framework of university-industry partnerships at the Sustainable Development Center with the participation of representatives from higher education institutions and Sanem Yalçıntaş, the founder and director of Turkey's "CATALYSADE Technology Transfer and Innovation Inc," as part of the preparations for the Education Development Forum initiated by the Education Development Fund. Vilayat Valiyev, the Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Technology, greeted the guests in his opening speech and discussed the benefits of the "University-Industry Dialogue Platform" established as a result of the Education Development Forum held last year. The Rector emphasized that this meeting played a crucial  role in the preparation of the "Education Development Forum 2024," which is planned to take place in 2024. Elnur Nasibov, the Chairman of the Board of the Education Devedlopment Fund, began by praising the significant progress made by Azerbaijan's higher education institutions in prestigious rankings such as the "QS World University Rankings." He then discussed the importance of fostering collaboration between universities and industries to advance the innovation ecosystem. Nasibov stressed the need for a stronger focus on science and innovation activities, as well as the implementation of joint innovative projects. He also mentioned that, for this reason, the upcoming meetings of Sanem Yalchıntash, the founder and CEO of "CATALYSADE Technology Transfer and Innovation Inc.," would be held with private companies. Head of the Department of Science and Higher Education at the State Agency for Science and Higher Education (SASHE), Samir Hamidov praised the work of the Education Development Fund and emphasized that SASHE would continue to support the Fund in its future activities, as it has done in the past. Sanem Yalchintash, the founder and director of "CATALYSADE Technology Transfer and Innovation Inc.," shared her extensive experience in the industrial sector and noted that the university-industry collaboration model had been established in Turkey since 2006. In her detailed presentation on the topic of the "Innovation Ecosystem in Azerbaijan," Yalchintash answered all the questions raised after the presentation. The meeting continued with discussions. Representatives from the Azerbaijan University of Technology, Baku Slavic University, Baku Engineering University, Karabakh University, Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, Azerbaijan State Economic University, Sumgayit State University, and Azerbaijan University of Technology attended in the roundable discussions.
