Azerbaijan Technical University Launches New Project ERASMUS + KA2


Vice-rector of Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), Professor Subhan Namazov, Director of International Relations Department, Associate Professor Marzia Aghayeva, Head of the department “Car transport and traffic management”, Associate Professor Fuad Dashdamirov were on business trip, in Poland on February 27-28, 2019,in order to participate in the first meeting of the project “Crisis and Risks Engineering for Transport Service (CRENG)” ERASMUS + KA2, financed by the European Union and co-ordinator of the Polish University of Technology.


The project involves universities from 6 countries: Poland, Germany, France, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.Five partners from Azerbaijan are represented in the project implementation: Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Technical University, Baku Engineering University, Azerbaijan Technological University and Baku Transport Agency.


Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Poland, graduate of AzTU Hasan Hasanov noted that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Poland universities is a high perspective and he will support necessary assistance.


Different discussions were held on the issues related to the goals and objectives of the project, which will last for three years, partners’ responsibility and role in the project, outcomes to be achieved at the end of the project, and organizational-management work. Representatives of partner organizations, as well as Director of International Relations Department, Associate Professor Marzia Aghayeva made a speech on the University she was representing, about the project and the work done in this field.


At the end of the meeting, at the initiative of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Poland Hasan Hasanov, the delegation visited the busts of two prominent military men in a park in Warsaw- Azerbaijani Vali bey Sadig bey oglu Yadigarov and Polish Maciej Sulejman Sułkiewicz, and they were widely informed about their life.
